Additionally, earlier this month, Senators and Representatives were sworn into office for the start of a new Congress. with a sense of purpose and hopes to make a difference. As voters and advocates, we do not need to agree with any or all the positions these officials take, however we should always respect the office they hold in representing our one nation under God.
Friday, July 29, 2016. And, just as quickly as it started, it finished. Iâ m sitting at the Philadelphia Airport right now waiting for my flight back to Milwaukee. The 2016 Democratic National Convention adjourned last night - or was it technically this morning by the time we got out of there? I canâ t remember. The speeches really rocked the house last night. Iâ d recommend watching most of the evening ones if you missed any.
Saturday, February 4, 2017. NRSC targets Baldwin on Supreme Court in new TV ad. The National Republican Senatorial Committee today announced a new TV ad knocking U. Tammy Baldwin over her opposition to the nomination of Neil Gorsuch. The TV ad opens with the announcer saying Baldwin, D-Madison, said last year senators have an obligation to vote on nominees for the Supreme Court.

Sen-elect Chris Kapenga plans to resign his Assembly seat Aug. 5 and take the Senate oath the next day. Kapenga today sent a letter. To the governor, Assembly leaders and the chief clerk informing them of his plans after his overwhelming win in the 33rd SD earlier this month. The GAB plans to certify the results of the July 21 special election on Friday.
